CAIRO: Egypt's ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) issued decree No. 102 of 2011 which grants a social bonus for state workers and pensioners by increasing wages and pensions by 30 percent. Egypt's Ministry of Finance said the military decree that stipulates the social bonus for state workers and pension receivers will be increased to 30 percent instead of 20 percent, and will not have a ceiling. The Ministry added that the decree aims to ease life for pensioners and adopt principles of social justice. The decree came in accordance with the supreme constitutional count in 2008, which showed that there was no ceiling with regards to increasing pensions.
