Report about Tahrir clashes expected today

A report about last week's violent clashes between security forces and citizens in and around Cairo's Tahrir Square is expected to be released today. Over 1,100 people from both sides were injured in the clashes, which lasted nearly 12 hours. The report was compiled by a fact-finding mission formed by Egypt's public prosecutor.
A judicial source revealed that the committee, which includes members fromEgypt's National Council for Human Rights, has finished its report about the incident.
The clashes began outside the Balloon Theatre in downtown Cairo and ended in Tahrir Square and the surrounding streets. The report is expected to include the reasons that led to the violent clashes.
The source revealed the presence of thugs in the demonstrations and blamed those thugs for the clashes which have happened over the past week.
