CAIRO: Cairo's governoR Dr. Abdel-Kawi Khalifa met with Ibrahim al-Araby, the chairman of Cairo's Trade Chamber, to discuss ways of cooperation between the governorate and the chamber in order to resolve the problems of different dealers. Cairo's governor highlighted the importance of trade chambers, which play an important role in coordinating with authorities of the governorate to organize the suppliers by providing them with suitable places that legitimize their business. Khalifa said there is a study that will be presented to the cabinet concerning the trade of birds in Cairo, given that trading birds that are alive is prevented by law number 70 of 2009. He also said it is necessary to turn to the activities of those dealers and place health and environmental conditions to allow such activities. He added that the governorate is studying the situation of the slaughterhouses which do not take into account health and environmental conditions, and said the study will focus on achieving the interests of the citizens and dealers.
