The union on restoring tourism has organized a tourist festival for July 15 under the slogan "Welcome to Egypt." The festival will be attended by a number public personalities and artists and will be held in support of tourism in Egypt. Ahmed al-Bishbishi, the coordinator of the festival and the head of the union, said they will hold a meeting with Ashraf Abdel-Ghafoor, the chairman of the Filmmakers Association, to discuss inviting prominent artists to the festival, and other ways artists can support tourism. Al-Bishbishi also said the festival, which will be held in the Citadel of Salah al-Din in Cario, will be attended by a number of foreign and Arab ambassadors, who have expressed their desire to support this vital sector. Shaza Samir, one of the organizers, said the festival's program will start at 5:30pm. She said the ambassadors attending the festival will discuss their vision for the future of tourism, and its importance to the Egyptian economy in the next stage.
