Muslim Brotherhood (MB) teachers and candidates for the teachers syndicate elections were told by the MB that a group of Coptic Christians will run with them in the elections. Mohamed Abdel-hakim, coordinator of the MB teachers in the al-Mataria neighborhood, said the MB made their decision after making sure the Christians could do the union work. He also added that the group seeks to reactivate the role of the teachers' syndicate after being frozen for more than 10 years. The MB teachers held a meeting yesterday to plan for the coming elections. The meeting included the MB candidates, and the Christian candidates from the group. Mohamed Suleiman, Secretary General of the Teachers syndicate said, "I deal with all the teachers without concern for their religious or political identities, and I won't mind a Muslim Brotherhood candidate."
