CAIRO: Youm7 obtained a copy of a note written by the Coalition of Egypt's Free Revolution in Spanish. The note was delivered to the Spanish ambassador in Cairo and called upon the Spanish government to withdraw the Spanish citizenship of the fugitive Egyptian businessman, Hussein Salem, stating that Spanish Law criminalizes dual citizenship. The note said that Egyptians are not content with the way the Spanish government is dealing with a corrupt figure such as Salem, especially that it knows that he also has Egyptian citizenship, and has thus deceived Spain. The note also said that Egypt calls for achieving justice and that Spain should help Egypt catch Salem. Spanish people will not be proud that a criminal who stole money from Egypt holds Spanish citizenship, added the note. According to the note, Egypt and other Arab countries have boycotted Spanish products because of the actions of the Spanish government. The coalition also threatened to get in touch with people all over the world and use the January 25 Revolution to convince them not to visit Spain until Salem is deported back to Egypt. Members of the coalition organized a protest today outside the headquarters of the Spanish Embassy in Cairo. The demonstrators called for the boycott of Spanish products as well as to stop gas exports to Spain. They did so in order to pressure the Spanish government to deport Salem so that he can get prosecuted and return to Egypt the money he smuggled.
