Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed al-Tayeb said minors can't proclsim Islam, according Imam Shafii, during a meeting with the Coptic priests Philopateer Gamil and Aghabios Saad. Philopateer praised the meeting, describing al-Tayeb as a father for all Egyptians. He clarified that al-Tayeb sent officials from al-Azhar to visit the two Coptic girls of al-Minya, and confirm their religious beliefs. Philopateer confirmed that he doesn't know the place of the two girls, warning of people who work towards executing foreign agendas that aim to spark sectarian tensions among Egyptians.
