CAIRO: Dozens protested today in front of Egypt's Council of Ministers in five different protests, leading to a traffic jam and clashes between security and protesters. The first protest was held by a Muslim Imam. He asked Prime Minister Essam Sharaf and Minister of Religious Affairs Abdallah el-Husseiny Halal to appoint all Imams who had been excluded by the former head of state security, and to permit them to receive all their financial dues. The second protest was held by temporary workers from the Ministry of Agriculture research centers. They asked Essam Sharaf and Minister of Agriculture Ayman Abu Hadid to activate their contracts and appoint those with masters and PhD degrees. Temporary workers of sport medical centers of the national sports council had the same demands. The workers said they have worked for eight years and haven't been appointed yet. Some temporary journalists for Al-Masaeya newspaper protested in front of Dr. Yehia al-Gamal office asking for appointments. The last protest was held by masters degree and PhD holders who demanded equality with the Egyptian University graduates who had been appointed.
