The General Secretary of Egypt's National Council for Women, Farkhada Hassan, has been banned from leaving Egypt by the Assistant Minister of Justice for Graft, Judge Assem el-Gohary. Farkhanda is accused of growing funds and illegal gain. Egypt's Illicit Gains Authority has begun investigation with Hassan about receiving presents and illegal gains during when she was a professor at the American University in Cairo and during her post at the National Council for Women. Farkhanda was asked about owning villas, flats and assets which do not fit with her financial disclosure.
