A poetry festival in Berlin arranged a poetic evening named ‘New Arabian World' for Arabian poets who live in Germany to celebrate the Arab revolutions and uprisings. Arab poets recite their poems in English, German, Arabic and Egyptian slang. Many Arab poets participated in the festival including; Tunisian Rap poet, Hamada Ben Omar, his stage name is General; Egyptian Rap singer, Deeb; Palestinian poet, Hend Shofanni; Egyptian poet, Hend Hamam; and Libyan poet, Abdel Dayeem Akwas. The poets used different languages to express different issues such as political criticism, homesickness and sensual rhyme. Ben Omar intended to give out his new political album. He aims to reserve the Tunisian revolution profits and transmit them to other countries. Ben Omar's songs criticized the former Tunisian President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali, which helped motivate the rebels in Tunis and to transfer the revolution feel to Egypt.
