CAIRO: After being fired from his post as member of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), Abdel Moneim Abu al-Fetouh commented, “I do not care at all.” When he returned form London, Abu al-Fetouh told to Youm7 the truth is stranger than fiction. Abu al-Fetouh said all MB members, even the MB general guide, Mohammed Badei, would vote for Abu al –Fetouh because of close relations, and he believes in his right to run for president and serve the people. The MB threatened Abu al-Fetouh to fire him from being a MB member if he decided to run for presidential elections. Abu al-Fetouh did not care for his membership at the MB and ran for presidential elections instead. Arabic here
