CAIRO: “The petroleum sector is still carrying out negotiations about gas export prices,” said Minister of Petroleum Abdallah Ghorab. “There is no choice other than providing an agreement satisfactory for the Egyptian side.” Ghorab added, “a meeting will be held with the Jordanian side in continuing negotiations to modify Egyptian petrol prices.” Egypt resumed pumping gas, proving that the Egyptian government is seriously committed to its international agreements, and a step supporting Egypt in negotiations with Jordon and the East Mediterranean Gas Company. The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum has received an offer from Jordan to raise Egyptian gas prices. However, they are looking for an even higher price.
