Egyptian government creates committee to reclaim smuggled money

CAIRO: The Egyptian cabinet, headed by Essam Sharaf, approved today a draft decree-law creating a committee to reclaim smuggled money. The Minister of Justice will be called on to form this committee.
Prime Minister Sharaf emphasized that the committee should undertake all necessary procedures to track down officials' assets and illegitimate earnings, or any official who participated in corrupt activities that were banned by Egyptian and UN laws controlling corruption.
