MATROUH, Egypt: Guards prevented an attempt to smuggle large quantities of weapons in a white Toyota on the Egyptian-Libyan boarder.
The guards arrested the smugglers who are now under investigation.
They traced the Toyota the car coming from Libya into Egypt. The guards confiscated around 19 sniper rifles, 10 machine guns, RPG weapons, and 8,810 bullets.
The smugglers were sentenced to 15 days in prison and referred to Matrouh military prosecution.
