Egypt's border guards on Tuesday seized a vehicle loaded with large quantities of weapons, machineguns, sniper rifles and RPG grenade launchers crossing into Egypt from Libya, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Tuesday. The guards seized the weapons on a white Toyota Land Cruiser and arrested Mohamed Ali Saad and Abdel Hadi Mohamed Abdel Rahman from Egypt's Sidi Barrani village, near Salloum border crossing, MENA added. The two suspects were detained for 15 days by the Military Prosecution pending further investigations on charges of smuggling weapons.
