The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural organization (ISESCO) will hold the 31st seminar for its graduates on environmental hydrology from May 29 to June 7. The seminar will be held in cooperation with the international hydrological program, hydrological researches institute, and the Egyptian fund for technical cooperation with Africa. The international seminar is held annually and aims to transfer modern ideas in order to solve the environmental problems of surface water and groundwater. The seminar also aims to study the effects of global warming on water resources in the Nile Basin and Arab region. The seminar will include a practical study of two projects, one in environmental hydrology and the other in groundwater. It will also include visits to some areas, examining projects, theoretical and practical studies, and training participants in using the geographical information system and remote sensors to keep and develop water resources. Hatem Mekhemar Mohamed, an expert in water resources, will represent ISESCO by supervising the seminar.
