CAIRO: Tens of Egyptians refused to leave Tahrir Square last night after yesterday's ‘Second Friday of Anger' yesterday and are continuing their demonstration today. They erected tents and insisted on staying in the square overnight to express their demands. Demands include the execution of deposed president Hosni Mubarak and former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly, public trials of the former regime's figures, dismissing Deputy Prime Minister Yehia al-Gamal, dismissing the ministers of the former regime, issuing a new constitution, forming a civil presidential council, and delaying the parliamentary and presidential elections. Tahrir Square witnessed many discussions about the demands of the revolution yesterday. Police forces intensified their presence to manage the traffic and restore the state of security in the square after their absence yesterday. Of the tens of thousands of demonstrators who gathered in the square on Friday, only a few dozen insisted on remaining in the square overnight. Many other demonstrators encouraged them to leave, saying if demands were not met they could hold a sit-in next Friday. A poll by Youm7 found that 82 percent of readers disapproved of the sit-in. 17 percent supported it, and the remainder were unsure.
