A representative of the youth of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in the Revolution Youth Coalition announced participating with different political parties and movements in the million-man demonstration, scheduled for May 27. The announcement violates the official group's decision to boycott the demonstrations. A representative of the group in the coalition, Moaz Abdel Karim said a large number of the group's youth agreed to participate in the event. After consultations and discussions, they found that participation is more useful for Egypt. He attributed the Muslim Brotherhood's refusal to participate because of the name ‘the Second Friday of Anger,' which prompted coordinators to change its name to ‘Friday of the Political Corruption.' The MB demanded to keep stability and to cleanse Egypt from the remnants of the former National Democratic Party. Karim said he received a phone call from a leader in the MB, Saad al-Hussainy, to convince him change his decision of participating in the demonstration. Karim refused and confirmed that a large number of MB youth will participate in the demonstrations because they are convinced of its objectives. The MB issued a declaration refusing to participate in the demonstrations because the even the MB claims it is against the majority of people's desire and its majority and the demonstrations demands a split between citizens and the Armed Forces. The MB said there are no differences with constitutional principles and its rules are considered a subject of agreement with Egyptian citizens, the final arbiter in preparing the constitution and approving in a free and fair referendum.
