CAIRO: Saudi Arabia released 49 Egyptians, who left the kingdom, and authorities work on releasing more, said the Saudi Ambassador to Cairo Ahmed Abdel-Aziz Kattan. In a statement issued from the Saudi Arabian embassy in Cairo, Kattan expressed his resentment about what Egyptian newspapers published recently. Newspaper claims the Saudi Arabian embassy refused to grant families of the revolution's victims Umrah (a traditional Islam Pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia) visas. He said the embassy is keen on implementing a number of rules to protect travelers from possible fraud crimes by coordinating between Saudi Umrah services agencies and Egyptian travel agencies. Such agencies helped many Egyptians travel to the kingdom to perform the Islamic pilgrimage. The revolution committee demanded about 850 Umrah visas for the victims' families. The Ambassador said issuing visas will be easy after ensuring all required services for the martyrs' families through the Egyptian travel agencies. Arabic here
