CAIRO: Egyptian tour guides and tourist workers called on all bazaar owners to set fixed prices for tourist goods to prevent any arguments between tourists and sellers. The tour guides said that not having fixed prices makes tourists feel they are being ripped off, and so in turn they don't buy. “It is difficult to apply this system especially since there are hand made goods, like carpets for example, that have fluctuating prices,” said Mohammed Reda, who owns a shop in Cairo's famous Khan el-Khalili bazaar. While Reda said that setting fixed prices for tourists is a good idea, most sellers don't agree with this given the fluctuation of prices.
