According to a judicial source, Egypt's public prosecution has finished investigating Gamal and Alaa Mubarak in Tora Prison for corruption and profiteering. The investigators showed new evidence proving that the sons of deposed Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak interfered in Egypt's foreign debt repayment schedule, which allowed them to gain illegal commissions from the gas exporting deal with Israel. Evidence also showed them taking advantage of their father's former position to obtain illegal gains. The source also told Youm7 that the public prosecutor, Abdel Magid Mahmoud, will order renewal of their detention for another 15 days pending further investigation in cases of corruption. Public Prosecution ordered the formation of committees that will examine the property of Alaa and Gamal Mubarak in light of the supervisory reports. The reports show that they own huge amounts of real estate wealth including palaces, villas, apartments in Cairo, Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Ismailia, Alexandria and New Cairo. Reports also showed them owning large amounts of land all over Egypt.
