CAIRO, Egypt: The Egyptian stock exchange booms this morning despite fears of the ongoing doctor's strike. The main EGX 30 index went up by 0.64 percent reaching 35 points, EGX 70 increased by 0.43 percent reaching 2.7 points, and EGX 100 went up by 0.41 percent reaching 3.9 points. Major shares increased considerably. Citadel went up by 5 percent, Orascom Telecom increased by 2 percent, Pioneers by 1.2 percent, Ezz Iron by 1 percent, and Commercial International Bank went up by 1.4 percent.
