WADI GEDID, Egypt: A symposium on the role of women in civil society has been organized by the Dakhla Media Center in Wadi Gedid, said the center's director. The symposium will also discuss women's ability to participate in the political life of the community. It will be held in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Solidarity and the Wadi Gedid branch of the National Council for Women. The director of the centre said the seminar aims to raise awareness of the importance of women's political rights, especially in the coming period in which all members of society – of which women are a key segment – must participate. A large number of female leaders and civil society figures will participate in the seminar.
