QLIOBYIA, Egypt: Qanater Women's Prison is preparing to receive former First Lady Suzanne Mubarak, a security source said. However, the prison has not officially been notified that it will receive her. Suzanne was sentenced to 15 days detention pending investigations earlier today. She was accused of profiteering after a preliminary investigation by Egypt's Illicit Gain Authority. The source added that Suzanne will be detained in Qanater because there is no alternative prison. The prosecution is expected to send a letter to the prison to specify whether Suzanne will be imprisoned there or whether she will remain in Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital with her husband, deposed president Hosni Mubara. An anonymous source said Suzanne's condition deteriorated after receiving the news of her detention. According to reports, Suzanne cried when she heard the news.
