CAIRO: Those arrested over last weekend's deadly clashes in Cairo's poverty-stricken Imbaba neighborhood will be re-investigated before State Security prosecutors by the State Security Court. “The Public Prosecutor gave the case to Counselor Hisham Badawy, the first Attorney General of the Supreme State Security prosecutor,” a judicial source told Youm7. Youm7 learned that Badawy formed an investigation team to hear testimonies from those injured in the Imbaba clashes and from witnesses of the events. The injured are expected to go through medical tests to know the nature of their injuries. The prosecution team will confront the main defendants with evidence such as video clips broadcasted on talk show programs, Facebook and YouTube. Arabic here. Read more about the Imbaba incident here.
