Saad Katatni is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and the appointed leader of the Freedom and Justice Party, which was created on February 21, 2011. The party was created to be the Muslim Brotherhood's party for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Recently, Katatni met with Mohamed el-Baradei to discuss Egypt's future. During the meeting Katatni announced that the Muslim Brotherhood would be joining the National Association for Change.
Katatni is the Brotherhood's main representative and spokesperson and is the main pragmatist when formal politics are discussed.
