CAIRO, Egypt: According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the unemployment rate is currently at 9%. The statement included that unemployment among women is 22.6% which greatly surpasses its rates among men (4.9%). Currently, those affected the most are youth 20-24years old which represent 46.9% of Egypt's total unemployment. The statement also clarified that the highest rate of unemployment is among fresh graduates who have intermediate qualifications (53.2%) while graduates roughly represent 39.7% of Egypt's unemployment. In 2010, the economic dependency rate reached a higher stability concerning the average of paid weekly hours wth 47.2 hours for men and 44 hours for women.
