Ghana international forward Agyemang Opoku is set for a three-day trial at Ahli ahead of a potential winter-break move, the club said on their official website. The Reds said that Opoku, 23, will arrive in Cairo on Wednesday to be tested by manager Hossam Al-Badri, who should decide whether to sign him on a free transfer deal. The Ghanaian international, who featured against Egypt in the CAN 2010 final, has been capped seven times by Ghana's first team, as he can operate as a striker and a winger. He came through the youth setup of Ashanti Gold before having stints at Tunisia's Sfaxien, Qatari side Al-Sadd and Bulgaria's Levski Sofia, whom he has joined in the close season. Ahli are largely expected to sign a foreign player in the winter break, given that Dominique da Silva is currently the only non-Egyptian on their book following the imminent loan of Oussou Konan to Hajr.
