Ahli have accepted an offer from Saudi side Hajr to loan summer signing Oussou Konan for six months, the Cairo club said. “We have agreed to let Konan go because the management doesn't need him in the meantime," Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz told the club's website. Following months of searching for a foreign striker, Ahli brought Konan from MCDR in June only for the Ivorian to start just three games under Hossam Al-Badri. The former Esperance striker is now set for another spell under former boss Tarek Yehia, who is in charge of Saudi league strugglers Hajr. His imminent exit means that Ahli could well reinforce their squad with an overseas player in the winter break, given that Mauritanian Dominique da Silva is the only non-Egyptian among their ranks. Ahli have also released Brazilian striker Fabio Junior back in September.
