Egypt manager Bob Bradley has agreed to give Ahli internationals a maximum of 45 minutes in the upcoming friendly against Congo, the Reds said on their official website. The Pharaohs, who gear up for the World Cup qualifier against Mozambique next March, are due to play the two friendly games with Congo and Tunisia on October 12 and 16 respectively during their one-week tour in the UAE. Meanwhile, Ahli clash with Nigeria's Sunshine Stars in the Champions League semi-final second leg at home on October 21 and have requested limiting their players' time on the pitch with Egypt. Even though Ahli's continental fixture takes place nine days after the Congo meeting, the Reds internationals were only allowed to participate in a single half of the game and immediately return home. The Reds players named in Bradley's roster are Sherif Ekrami, Ahmed Fathi, Hossam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour, Walid Soliman and Mohamed Abou-Treika. Veteran Abou-Treika will be treated as an exception though as he is already serving a club ban in the Sunshine game. Ahli, record six-time champions of Africa's top club competition, drew with Sunshine 3-3 away from home two days ago.
