Sports Minister El-Amry Farouk insists that Super Cup game between Ahli and ENPPI will go on as planned, despite the uncertainty preceding it. Sunday's match was under scrutiny following threats by the Ultras Ahlawy fan group, who are opposing the resumption of domestic football while the trial of the Port-Said disaster suspects in ongoing. Their angry reaction seems to have prompted officials to postpone the league kickoff for a month, even so the Ahli-ENPPI clash goes on. “It is totally untrue there is an order from the presidency to call off the Super Cup game," minister Farouk said. “The match will be played as planned on Sunday. There is no intention to postpone it." The game takes place at the Army Stadium in Alexandria as local security has declared ‘it is fully prepared' to take charge of the game. Securing football matches in Egypt has been a major concern since last February's tragedy in Port-Said, where over 70 Ahli fans were killed after a league game with Masri.
