Ahli have ended their pursuit for a non-Egyptian striker as Ghanaian Eric Antwi was the last unsuccessful trialist with the club. “We watched him closely and we weren't convinced. We decided that the foreign players we have are enough," Ahli boss Hossam Al-Badri told reporters. “We will not be testing any African striker in the upcoming period. “I think we have alternatives in every position, even though we sometimes have missing players in matches." Ahli have been chasing an overseas striker for months, even though they have a maximum number of foreigners in Oussou Konan, Dominique da Silva and Fabio Junior. The Egyptian champions were linked with Smouha ace Samuel Affum, Club Africain's Ezechiel Ndouassel and Ghazl Mahalla's Samuel Owusu.
