Egypt coach Bob Bradley has been asked to present a technical report about the national team in the wake of the elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Seven-time CAN champions Egypt failed to make it past the qualifying preliminaries after being stunned by minnows Central African Republic, losing 4-3 on aggregate. The Egyptian FA said on its website that interim president Anwar Saleh has requested a technical report from head coach Bradley about the team's recent performances. The American is asked to ‘explain the reasons for the failure to reach the finals and state the difficulties he had encountered'. The FA stressed that the report ‘will be discussed and a working plan shall be put accordingly'. Following the CAN setback, Egypt's next competitive game takes place in March 2013 when Bradley's men host Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifiers. Pardoned Meanwhile, FA spokesman Azmi Megahed believes that the national team's failure is justified amid the difficult conditions that hit Egyptian football following the Port-Said disaster. “Bradley should be pardoned after our exit from the qualifiers," Megahed told the FA's website. “He has been working in very difficult conditions after the suspension of football activities since the events of Port-Said. Players have not been playing competitive games for long and this has affected them. “This doesn't mean that the coaching staff is not responsible for what happened. But I think that now we must unite for the sake of helping Egypt reach the World Cup."
