Mohamed Zidan has been fined €6000 after he joined Mainz fans in making offensive chants against Kaiserslautern following a derby game this month. The DFB's disciplinary tribunal announced the verdict on Wednesday as the Egypt forward accepted his sanction. "I regret getting carried away in the euphoria following our home win," Zidan said after apologizing for the incident. Zidan, who scored to help Mainz batter their rivals 4-0 before being involved in the controversial celebrations, has been in terrific form since joining Thomas Tuchel's side on loan from Borussia Dortmund in January.
