Mainz forward Mohamed Zidan is facing a heavy fine by the Bundesliga for being involved in offensive chants against bitter rivals Kaiserslautern following last weekend's derby win. According to widespread reports in Germany, Zidan was caught celebrating the crushing 4-0 victory along with Mainz fans, whose post-match chants included a 'crap Kaiserslautern' taunt. The Egypt international is now facing a €8000 fine if found guilty by the DFB. Germany international Michael Ballack has been sanctioned for a similar incident involving rivals Cologne back in March 2011. Zidan has been inspirational for Mainz since joining on loan from Borussia Dortmund in January, scoring four goals in as many games so far for Thomas Tuchel's side.
