Mainz boss Thomas Tuchel believes that his side are capable of winning without the help of Egypt striker Mohamed Zidan. Zidan, who joined the mid-tablers in the winter-break, notched three goals in as many games to help the Bundesliga outfit end a three-match losing streak by holding the likes of Schalke and Hoffenheim. “We should not forget that we have won without Zidan,” Tuchel was quoted as saying by German media. "I am delighted with his performance and his consistency but to say that he is our life insurance, I don't think so. It is not true that we cannot score points without him.” Mainz, who lie 13th in the Bundesliga table, take on Kaiserslautern in the Das Rheinland-Pfalz derby at the weekend.
