Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan was on target as Borussia Dortmund routed Belgian side Standard Liege 3-0 in a winter-break friendly. The 29-year-old notched the first goal on 27 minutes before defender Neven Subotic doubled the lead from the spot on 51 minutes. Forward Robert Lewandowski completed the rout six minutes from the end of regular time. The unsettled Zidan is regarded as a fringe striker for manager Juergen Klopp, having only featured for a few minutes since the start of the season. His future with Dortmund remains at scrutiny as the Bundesliga champions resume their domestic campaign against the Egyptian's former club Hamburg on January 22.
