Harras Hodoud claimed their fifth win on the spin by beating Smouha 2-1 in the Egyptian league to move to top of the table temporarily. The Alexandria-based outfit climbed above league champions Ahli who had their game against Ismaili postponed for security reasons. Defensive midfielder Mohamed Halim opened the scoring for Hodoud in the 12th minute but Ghanaian striker Samuel Affum brought his side level six minutes from the half hour mark. Egypt international Ahmed Eid sealed the victory for the military side by notching the winner 15 minutes from regular time, Hodoud claim their 16th point from seven games, while Smouha remain third from bottom with two points. Elsewhere, Petrojet drew with Military Production 0-0 as Ittihad and Ghazl Mahalla played out another goalless stalemate.
