Hazem Emam says he has a medical at Saudi club Faisali, only a couple of days after claiming he is heading to Belgium. The dramatic change of destination comes after the 23-year-old had terminated his contract with Zamalek following the latter's failure to pay his salary for months. “I have agreed terms with Faisali although I had other offers from Saudi Arabia and Belgium,” Emam told FilGoal.com. “I felt it is the best choice for me. I should sign on Wednesday after passing a medical.” Even though the Egyptian FA has yet to rule on Emam's request to terminate his contract with Zamalek, the winger has the right to join a foreign club if he can prove that his wages are unpaid. In this case he can directly call on FIFA to complete his transfer to the Saudi side. Zamalek have been involved in a similar case with Qatar forward Hussein Yasser, who unilaterally rescinded his contract to join Belgium's Lierse in the summer. The Cairo club are, however, likely to lodge a claim to FIFA against Emam, seeking compensation for a breach of contract.
