Team of the Month: Magnificent Abd-Rabou
Published in FilGoal on 31 - 10 - 2011

Goalkeeper: Ahmed Al-Shennawi (Masri)
The goalkeeping starlet made a satisfactory start to the season, proving his credentials to become Egypt's number one in the near future with his fascinating prowess in the Masri goal.
Right-back: Ahmed Adel (Gouna)
Caused continuous menace to opponents down the right flank with his surging runs and pinpoint crosses, resulting in two goals against Ismaili in the famous 4-1 battering.
The ex-Ahli man also played a pivotal role against his former club, daunting Sayed Moawad on numerous occasions and eventually setting up striker Buba with his team's only goal to earn Gouna a precious 1-1 draw in week 3.
Center-half: Mohamed Naguib (Ahli)
Already proved to be a successful signing for Ahli after quickly establishing himself as a regular in the Red Devils' backline, booking his place in Manuel Jose's 4-4-2 and 3-5-2 formations.
Center-half: Ahmed Saied ‘Ouka' (Harras Hodoud)
Contributed to Harras Hodoud's progress to fourth of the Egyptian league standings - following an opening-day defeat - and scored a vital goal for the military side against Wadi Degla in the 2-1 win.
Left back: Mohamed Abdul-Shafi (Zamalek)
The full-back is arguably Zamalek's most consistent player as he produced a stellar performance in the 6-1 drubbing of Ghazl Mahalla in the opener.
He hadn't been at his best in the second game against Gaish but quickly recovered his form in the 3-1 win over Production, affirming that he is Egypt's first-choice left-back in the meantime.
Right midfielder: Ashour Al-Taqi (Wadi Degla)
The 31-year-old was instrumental in the heart of Degla's midfield and notched a delightful volley to earn his side a vital 1-0 win against Petrojet in week 4.
He also scored the fastest goal of the season so far, netting the opener against Bani Suef Telephones in Degla's 2-1 first-week win.
Left midfielder: Ahmed Shokri (Bani Suef Telephones)
The Ahli loanee raised eyebrows with some superb displays and a couple of exhilarating goals against Wadi Degla and Ghazl Mahalla to help the newcomers grab two vital wins in the opening weeks.
Central midfielder: Hosni Abd-Rabou (Ismaili)
The midfield ace tops the league scorer's charts with six goals in four games, including four penalties and a tremendous free kick in Ismaili's 3-1 victory over Petrojet in the league opener.
After making a terrific start, Abd-Rabou has become only one goal short of his total tally in the whole of last season.
The Egypt international has been the most consistent player for the Dervishes so far as he seems to have put behind a long spell of administrative problems that hampered the team's progress in recent months.
Attacking midfielder: Ahmed Hassan (Zamalek)
Despite being 37, the veteran midfielder looked as lively as ever with some consistent performances and crucial goals to help Zamalek bag seven points from three games.
The Egypt captain proved his finishing credentials playing in a more advanced role with Zamalek as he scored three times in as many games against Ghazl Mahalla, Gaish and Military Production.
Striker: Minusu Buba (Gouna)
The prolific Nigerian enjoyed a scintillating start with his new club, opening his account with a brace against ENPPI to help Gouna seal a precious draw after being two goals down in the opening-day 3-3 draw.
He then contributed to his side's thumping victory over Ismaili with another memorable brace, before scoring his fifth goal of the season against MCDR in a 1-1 stalemate.
Striker: Emad Meteb (Ahli)
The Egypt international was key to helping reigning champions Ahli to first spot so far, using his clinical finishing to score three times in four games for the Red Devils.
He headed his side's only goal to edge Harras Hodoud 1-0 in the curtain raiser, hit the opener against Gouna in the 1-1 draw before putting the game to bed at Ittihad with the second of the 2-0 win.
