Egypt will face Central African Republic in the second preliminary round of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. CAF announced the draw on Saturday, excluding the teams that qualified for the Gabon/Equatorial Guinea finals next January. The two-legged encounter will be played during the first half of 2012 as the exact dates have yet to be determined by CAF. Holders Egypt failed to qualify for the first time, so did African giants Cameroon and Nigeria, who have been drawn against Guinea-Bissau and Rwanda in the CAN 2013 qualifiers. The tournament will take place in South Africa after original hosts Libya pulled out for security reasons.
