Ghazl Mahalla manager Salah Al-Nahi cited an ‘internal conspiracy' as a reason behind his resignation following a 6-1 drubbing by Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League. The former-Koroum tactician has been under fire after the Peasants succumbed to a 3-0 home loss from Masri in their opening game, yet he refused to hand in his resignation as ‘the board was backing him' then. But this time he revealed that he cannot carry on working in Mahalla, while pointing finger at refereeing after his side conceded a couple of dubious goals. “The players' lack of experience plus refereeing mistakes are the reason behind our loss,” Al-Nahi said after the game in Ismailia. “I won't return back to Mahalla, there's a conspiracy against me inside the club's board but not within the team. “I was intending to step down even if we had won today.” Al-Nahi's departure looked imminent after last week's defeat to Masri; a game that was marred by riots from the Mahalla fans calling for the sacking of the coaching staff.
