Gouna's second goal in Sunday's cup game with Zamalek cannot be stopped even with four keeper between the posts, according to the Whites goalkeeping coach Ahmed Soliman. Soliman jumped to the defense of Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed after the Zamalek skipper conceded three goals in two the last two games, including two long-range shots. Abdul-Wahed was beaten by ex-teammate Hassan Mostafa in last week's 4-1 win over Wadi Degla, as ironically, former Zamalek midfielder Ashour Al-Adham stunned the Whites with another rocketing effort. “Abdul-Wahed is not to blame for the goal. No goalkeeper in the world could have saved Al-Adham's shot,” Soliman said on Al-Hayat TV following Sunday's 3-2 victory over Gouna. “This ball would have gone in even with four goalkeepers standing between the posts. “I think midfielders are to blame for giving the player too much space to shoot, and the same goes for Mostafa's goal.”
Difference Meanwhile, Al-Adham revealed that he feels like another player with his new club, following his emphatic strike. “This is my real standard. This is the difference between Al-Adham of Zamalek and that of Gouna,” the 26-year-old told FilGoal.com. “Here the coach has confidence in me and the board never delay my wages and this did not happen at Zamalek, where I was always unstable.” Al-Adham was signed by ex-Zamalek boss Hossam Hassan from Masri last season for EGP 5.8million, but his tenure in Cairo has been hardly a success.
