Niger coach Harouna Doula is aiming to repeat his side's historic victory over Egypt in next month's CAN 2012 qualifier. Niger upset the African champions in Niamey last October and another victory could see them qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time ever. “In Niamey we were able to do it, why not in Cairo? We will of course in this game need some luck,” coach Doula said in an interview with Supersport.com. Doula has, however, underlined the toughness of the job awaiting his team, dismissing speculation that the Pharaohs would be weaker with the junior team. “Egypt still remains a great football nation that honours FairPlay and respects the rules of football,” the Niger coach added. “Although they will be fielding their Under 23 team, they have some other strong objectives and especially, remember this youth team is qualified for the 2012 Olympics. “We will go to Cairo to win no matter the team confronting us.” While they need a win to reach the Gabon/Equatorial Guinea finals, Niger will anxiously be following the other group game involving South Africa and Sierra Leone, who both have a chance to qualify.
