Zamalek are set to add Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi to their summer signings, subject to a medical on Sunday. The Cairo club announced on their website that terms have been agreed with the 25-year-old striker, who will join in on a free transfer from Swedish side Syrianska. “It is a great honor to play for a club like Zamalek, especially with someone like Hassan Shehata in charge. He is the best manager in Africa,” Omotoyossi said. Omotoyossi played for Benin against Shehata's Egypt in last year's Africa Cup of Nations in Angola, where the Pharaohs won 2-0 in Benguela. Two years earlier, the robust striker scored his nation's only goal in a friendly game against Egypt in Cairo, with Shehata's men winning 5-1. He will have to work hard to carve out a regular place in the Whites' selection though, with Amr Zaki, Mido, Hussein Hamdi and Ahmed Gaafar on board.
