Barakat out for four weeks after freak injury

Ahli will be without Mohamed Barakat for four weeks after the veteran midfielder broke his arm in the team's camp in Cairo.
“Barakat broke his arm after accidentally hitting a chair in the hotel,” Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz said ahead of Sunday's Champions League clash with Wydad Casablanca.
Ahli doctor Walid Abdul-Baqi confirmed that the 35-year-old midfielder will be out for four weeks.
Barakat has accordingly pulled out of the Wydad match-squad to be replaced by midfielder Shehab Ahmed.
The Egypt international is also set to miss the second Group B clash with Tunisian champions Esperance by the end of this month.
Esperance, who ousted Ahli from last year's competition, held Algeria's MC Alger to a 1-1 draw in the group opener on Saturday.
