Hosni Abd-Rabou has given Ismaili a 3-week ultimatum to offer him a new contract, revealing official offers from Zamalek, Ahli and Masri. The Egypt midfielder has only received 8% of his dues from the 2010-2011 season and now he is a free agent. He told Modern Sport in an extended interview that he is keen on staying with Ismaili, should they pay his late wages and offer him a decent extension. "But if they didn't, I want the fans to understand why I will leave," said Abd-Rabou, who was named best player in the 2008 African Cup of Nations. "I have offers from Zamalek, Ahli and Masri," he added. "These are my options now because there's no serious approach from foreign teams." Abd-Rabou is a fans favorite but his contract is estimated at EGP 5 millions per year, which Ismaili apparently can't afford. Zamalek seem in pole position to sign Abd-Rabou, especially after former Egypt manager Hassan Shehata was named as their new coach. "Shehata will make a big difference with Zamalek," said Abd-Rabou, who is a regular starter in the national team.
