Zamalek's ultras fan-group ‘White Knights' have offered to help in covering the damages caused in Cairo Stadium in Saturday's Champions League clash with Club Africain. The match, which saw Zamalek dumped out of the competition, was marred by a chaotic end as hundreds of home fans invaded the pitch before inflicting severe damages in the stadium. After they condemned the incident on Sunday, the White Knights announced that they will discuss covering the damages with the stadium's management. Cairo Stadium chief Abdul-Aziz Amin said after the game that the amount of damages is ‘huge'. The White Knights also announced they will stand before the Tunisian embassy in Cairo on Tuesday evening, as a gesture of apology to the North African neighbors. The group, however, has frozen its activity in supporting the Cairo club in all sports until it completes a ‘refining process'.
