Renard reveals 'decisive' stage in Ahli talks

Ahli-bound coach Herve Renard indicated that the Egyptian champions have the ball in their court as he hopes to take the team's hot seat.
The Frenchman has been admittedly linked with the job as Ahli are looking for an overseas manager to succeed interim boss Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Shafi 'Zizo'.
"Talks are ongoing and we are currently in a decisive stage," Renard told FilGoal.com.
"Ahli have to decide who they want for the job.
"I would be grateful to work in Egypt and be in charge of a great team like Ahli."
Renard was in charge of Zambia when they upset Egypt in a 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw last year, which turned out to be crucial for the Pharaohs' campaign.
The Frenchman is believed to be one of three managers to be shortlisted by the Ahli board in the meantime.
