Ahli have announced that Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Shafi 'Zizo' will be the first team's new manager on a temporary basis. The Ahli board made their decision on Tuesday, 48 hours after Hossam Al-Badri had stepped down from the post. Zizo, a former Ahli star, will be in charge until the end of the first half of the season, after which a foreign manager is likely to be hired. The ex-Egypt international will be assisted by Yasser Radwan and Mohamed Youssef, who was also working with Al-Badri. Sayed Abdul-Hafiz will replace Hadi Khashaba as football director. Zizo, 57, has been working as a chief for the Ahli youth sector and is expected to remain with the club after finishing his reign as first team coach. He worked with several Egyptian Premier League teams during the past decade, including Arab Contractors, Ittihad, Masri and Suez Cement. The former striker was also in charge of the Egypt Olympic team in 1999. Outside Egypt, Zizo managed Lebanese outfit Nejmeh, winning the league twice in 2004 and 2005 with the Beirut-based club.
